Introduction:
The process of flow rate and pressure control is a unit consisting of the process control of flow rate and pressure control. The control
is done by acting on a pneumatic valve.


Possible exercises by the apparatus:
Demonstration of proportional, integral, and derivative control of apparatus.
Demonstration of measuring instruments of pressure and flow rate.
Demonstration of tuning techniques of controllers.
Controlling flow rate and pressure of gases and of liquids of process.
Demonstration of split range control.
Determination of response and characteristics of process.


Technical Parameters:
All components are mounted on a framework of stainless steel with suitable AWG to withstand the load of equipment and all components. A storage tank made in stain less steel with capacity of 41 liters. A centrifugal pump is installed made up of corrosion-resistant material flow rate Q = 0.6 cubic meter per hour (m3/h) with head of 21 meter. The apparatus is supplied with a compressor along with female valves of 1⁄4” for compressed air with 1.3 newton cubic meter per hour (Nm3/h) at 6.5 bar, for instruments, and 55 newton cubic meter per hour (Nm3/h) at 6 .5bar, when air is used as process fluid). The apparatus is provided with tap water valve of 1⁄2 inches hose connector, flow measuring device, calibrated diaphragm, and transparent flow meter. ▪ The apparatus is equipped with electronic magnetic induction flow transmitter with 3.5 to 21 milli ampere (mA) output signal. ▪ An electronic variable area flow transmitter-indicator with range of 18 to 2100 liter per hour (l/h) and 3.5 to 21milli ampere (mA) output. ▪ The apparatus is equipped with electronic differential pressure transmitters of with 3.5 to 21 milli ampere (mA) output signal. ▪ The apparatus is equipped with pneumatic control valves for pressure control in split range and flow rate control. ▪ The pneumatic converters, 3.5 to 21 milli ampere (mA) / 0.19 to 1.2 bar are installed.
▪ A pressure transmitter with range of 0 to 6.5 bar and 3.5 to 21 milli ampere (mA) output signal is installed. ▪ The apparatus is equipped with PID controller, all necessary piping, valves, and safety control. ▪ A software is included for control and data acquisition.
Unit is supplied with handbook for experiments.
