The System Should Cover the Following Training Objectives:

Principals of geothermal energy

Investigation of operating behavior of a geothermal probe with heat pipe principle

Acquiring the amount of heat that can be dissipated in the heat pipe with variation of the thermal load

variation of the filling level of the heat transfer medium contained

Observation of the radial temperature profile in a sand sample and determination of the thermal conductivity

Acquiring the sand’s thermal conductivity by means of a thermal response test

Principals and energy balance of a heat pump

Minimum Technical Specifications Required (like or better than):

Glass heat pipe of length: 1000mm, external diameter heat pipe: 55mm and transparent temperature control jacket with external diameter: 80mm

Water should be working medium for heat dissipation in the heat exchanger

Heater in the heating circuit of output: 1.9kW

Pump in the heating circuit of maximum flow rate: 1.9m3/h and power consumption: 58W

Copper U-tube geothermal probe of length: 1000mm

Pump in the thermal response test of flow rate: 4.9 to 28L/h and power consumption: maximum 60W
